<p>Sorry for the long hiatus! <p>So here is the official announcement, classes will resume on <strong>February 15, 2013</strong>! <img src='https://www.ekagratasala.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  Hope to see you guys in class. Remember to text me when you&#8217;ve decided to come to class to make sure class pushes through.  Please text the night before if it&#8217;s a morning class and before 12nn if it&#8217;s an afternoon/night class to give me ample time to find a sitter for the little yogi. <p>I&#8217;m so excited to add this new class into the schedule!  Pregnancy Yoga has been offered in ES for awhile now but only in private classes.  Now it is available at a regular time slot.</p>
<p>This specialized yoga class is here to help promote greater enjoyment of pregnancy, birth and babies.  It is not called prenatal/perinatal yoga or postnatal yoga or partner yoga because I am welcoming women who are in different stages in their pregnancy.  </p>
<p>Before attending the class, please inform me how far along you are in your pregnancy so the theme of the class can benefit all who are there. For women who are in the early stages of pregnancy (up to 16 weeks), it is advised to rest first.</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">Pregnancy Yoga is offered every Saturday 10-11:30 am. </br>Please confirm your attendance by Friday night.</p>

<p>These mats are pretty sticky when you first roll them open.  It has a nice grip.  It is a heavy mat since it&#8217;s really dense.  It&#8217;s not cushy at all.  I personally don&#8217;t like cushy mats since they affect the distribution of weight of the practitioner.  Some have mentioned that it&#8217;s almost like the Manduka Mats.  I wouldn&#8217;t really know if it&#8217;s true or not since I don&#8217;t own a Manduka mat.  Downside is that it gets slippery when it wet.  To remedy that, I use a towel to just wipe off the sweat. (I prefer to practice skin on mat and not on towel unless I&#8217;m sweating profusely that day)</p>

I still recommend that mat to anyone who asks.  It&#8217;s light, grippy,  eco-friendly (biodegradable) but it&#8217;s pricey since it is meant to degrade after so many uses. <img src='https://www.ekagratasala.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif' alt=':P' class='wp-smiley' />  I hear this UltiMat lasts long. <img src='https://www.ekagratasala.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p><strong>Travel Towels</strong> are also available.  These are made of Microfiber fabric.  It isn&#8217;t like the ones from Aquazorb unless they have new ones that I haven&#8217;t seen.  These are lighter.  I personally own a lot of Aquazorb towels (light series, sport towels, fluffy yoga mat towel, siliconed yoga towels&#8230; obviously I was a fan).  Having said that, I REALLY like these Microfiber Travel Towel of MaMo.  I own a beach towel and a hand towel.  The hand towel is enough to dry us from head to toe.  It absorbs FAST and if you can easily squeeze out the water.</p>

For succeeding washes, wash together with your dark-colored clothes. DO NOT BLEACH, IRON OR USE FABRIC CONDITIONER.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Since I run a “home sālā”, there are a few things that I do differently from a commercial studio.</p>
<ol>
<li>You’ll need to confirm your slot in the class by either emailing me at (k a r e n @ e k a g r a t a s a l a. c o m) or texting me at 09178436111.</li>
<li>If you don’t know the address of my studio, I will give you directions. <img src='https://www.ekagratasala.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </li>
<li>Come early or on time to prevent any interruptions. (This is the best time to inform/warn me if there are any concerns that I need to know. For example: time of the month, other health issues, need to leave at a specific time, etc.)</li>
<li>There are mats available in the sālā. However we would appreciate it if you bring your own so first-timers can use the sālā mats.</li>
<li>It would be best if your last meal was 3 hrs before class. If you have high metabolism, 2hrs- 1 hr may be enough. It varies from person to person.</li>
<li>Keep yourself hydrated. You can bring a water bottle to class in case you get thirsty.</li>
<li>You will need a face/hand towel to wipe off sweat. If you perspire profusely, bring a beach towel to put over your yoga mat to prevent you from slipping.</li>
<li>Wear comfortable-stretchy-breathable clothes. Something that won’t go over your head when you bend over. We practice barefoot.</li>
<li>Most of all, come with an open mind.</li>
</ol>
